2008 - Hi, I've been in Washougal,
Washington, in the SW part of the state, in the Portland, Oregon
area since 1990. It's a beautiful place with the
Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area beginning at the east end of
town ... wonderful waterfalls, hiking and biking trails and rural towns.
By the time I was leaving high
school, I was involved in religious pursuits, and that's pretty much
defined my life so far. I'm active at St. Thomas Aquinas
Catholic Church in Camas, and help with a variety of other
religious activities such as conferences, prayer events, music,
respect life
issues. Those spectacular
miraculous events around the world like crying statues and Marian
apparitions had a profound affect on my as I
grew into adulthood. One result was becoming convinced that peace in the world
depends on our willingness to respect each other. For this reason I became
involved with the respect life movement ... especially as it is applied
in a consistent way to the complex social problems the world
experiences today. I've posted more info about my respect life involvement
in the private area
here.
I'm still working on my BA in Human
Development at Washington State University, Vancouver and have
stayed single. For employment I drive commercially, currently a school bus for
Camas Public Schools, and at PDX for the parking lot shuttles.
I'm active in our employee unions at both locations. This
76islanders.org website I also help with.
